Swift Access Recognised in 2025 Future of Ageing Awards

Swift TV (formerly Swift Networks) has been Highly Commended in the Technology – Consumers category at the 2025 Future of Ageing Awards, recognising the impact of its next-generation aged care platform, Swift Access.

The results were unveiled at a presentation dinner in Sydney on 27 November 2025, marking Swift’s inclusion among leading innovations shaping the future of ageing in Australia.

Developed through extensive co-design with aged care providers, clinicians, academics and residents, Swift Access transforms standard in-room televisions into intuitive wellbeing and communication hubs. The platform is purpose-built for older Australians with varying levels of mobility, cognition and digital confidence, using simplified navigation, large-button remotes and personalised content delivery.

Swift Access enables residents to independently access exercise and relaxation programs, cognitive engagement content, staff messages and photos and videos from family—through a familiar device they already use every day.

In June 2025, aged care provider Bethanie became the first organisation to beta test Swift Access at its Como residence in Western Australia, ahead of a broader rollout to Subiaco and Dalyellup. The implementation spanned 326 resident rooms and 21 common areas, with early results showing strong resident engagement, improved communication and meaningful operational efficiencies for staff.

Feedback from residents highlighted increased independence, ease of use and improved social connection- particularly through family photo and video sharing. Staff reported significant time savings, with more than 1,000 digital messages sent to resident TVs at a single site over a three-week period.

The awards judges acknowledged Swift Access as a scalable, person-centred solution that supports providers in delivering consumer-led care while responding to the strengthened requirements of the Aged Care Act (2025) and updated Quality Standards.

Swift Access is delivered via a discreet device that works with existing televisions, supported by cloud-based management, remote updates and an Australia-based support team—making it a practical and sustainable solution for aged care organisations nationwide.
